Kids asking where we are going...

Our 20 year old daughter lives at home and since we been swinging (last fall) we've been going out quite a bit, which she finds odd! We never really went out like this before. She's always asking where are we going, etc.
Last night I sent her a text message that dinner was in the fridge (she was at work) and that we were going out. We were going to a M&G at swing takeover at a local Gay & Lesbian club. She replied, where are ya going? I just send a quick Going drinkin' back.
She's turning 21 this Wednesday, so she said..oh next time I can go with you!. Yeah right

| | Not quite the same situation, but last night we were going out. The kids are 17, 15 and 9, and they don't usually ask too many questions. We usually say "shoot pool". Last nite as we are getting ready to go out, in front of a neighbor, the 9 year says "A (17) says you guys do bad things when you go out". Ok, feeling flushed but holding it together I ask "What do you mean?" She then tells us "He says you guys are very loud when you come home, and told his friend to bring earplugs so that they can't hear you in your room". Ok, laughter aside, there was a scary moment of "OMG, he knows!". Kids are funny creatures. |

| | LOL at NCfun! You know Exploring, all you would have to do is tell her one time what you are really doing, and she would never EVER ask again. Just sayin' ![]() |

| | Gasp!! This is a real fear of ours too! Our kids are 16, 11, and 10 and up until tomorrow ;-) the kids have gone to sleepovers elsewhere when we go out to play. So, we come home and the world is our oyster for the entire night. Unfortunately, we have no sleepovers planned for tomorrow night and would really like to go to the local club...I'm hoping it all works out. BTW, when we are going out to play we tell people that we are going to the casino. My mother now thinks we have a gambling problem, sigh, I'm not sure how I'll talk my way out of this one. LOL |

| | We mix it up. Shooting pool, dinner with friends, dancing, whatever. That way it keeps suspicions down! Our families are all out of state, so they just know it's "date night". Since they don't know the area, they ask no further questions. |
